Philodendron gloriosum

Philodendron gloriosum is a sought after houseplant because of its impressive foliage. They are native to Colombian rainforests and like to creep along the floor rather than climb upwards. Bright indirect light is perfect for this plant as it would be shaded by trees in the wild. If it gets too much low light this may cause the plant to get leggy or stunt the growth so watch out. The gloriosum has velvety leaves so using a cloth to clean them is not the most effective way remove dust; we recommend using a dry paint brush instead!

Make sure you let this plant dry out a little bit in between watering, once a week watering in the summer and every 10-14 days during the winter. Avoid hot and cold drafts but ensure it receives enough humidity. Be wary about spraying the leaves too vigorously as it actually hates having big water droplets on the leaves!
